Most residence halls and Greek facilities close at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16.

Gregson, Holcombe, Humphrey Halls, Northwest Quad and the Duncan Avenue Apartments will remain open during winter break.

Residence hall desks close at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 16.

USPS mail delivery, as well as FedEx, UPS and DHL package delivery, will also be suspended during that time.

You can move back into your hall starting Monday, Jan. 2.

Checking Out

You may check out now by working with your resident assistant, or RA.

You should provide at least 24 hours notice before checking out unless there are extenuating circumstances that they share with the coordinator for residence education in your hall.

Once you sign up for your check-out time, you’ll receive a Fall 2016 Check-Out Reminder. This will tell you what to do to prepare your room.

Extended Stay

Graduating seniors who participate in commencement activities may remain the residence halls until noon Sunday.

Students providing support for commencement, such as band and choir members, may stay in the halls until the ceremony ends.

No student may stay later than noon Sunday, Dec. 18.

Not Returning

If you are not going to return to the university next semester, you’ll need to complete a Statement of Non-Enrollment form. Talk to your RA about this form.
