Students Receive Personal Health Kits to Battle Pandemic Spread on Campus

In August, students received personal Health Kit provided for free by the university to help curb the spread of COVID-19 among the campus community.

Student GiGi Powell picks up a health kit in late August from her residence hall.

Coming in a universitysponsored drawstring bag, these kits include five disposable masks, two cloth masks (red and black), a hand sanitizer and a thermometer

Some residence halls tasked their resident assistants with delivering the bags to each of the students. Other residence halls kept a large box at the front desk where the students can come and pick up their kit

Kits were distributed to on-campus students through the residence halls. Off-campus students also had a chance to pick up the kits at various locations across campus.

University Housing stresses that wearing a face cover, limiting group sizes, practicing social distance, and washing your hands regularly are critical to keeping infections down across campus.
