Holcombe is excited to bring back the Global Series in person this Spring 2022.
Experience the culture and traditions of Jordan right here in Fayetteville starting at 6 p.m. today in the Holcombe Hall living room.
One of our presenters, Fareed Abuzayed, said that his favorite thing about Jordan is “family ties and the strong sense of community.”
He invites everyone to attend this event because “Jordan is a beautiful country and an amazing place, not only culturally, but also historically and socially. There is a lot to be learned and enjoyed!”
The country of Jordan is located at the intersection of continents of Africa, Asia and Europe. It is famously known for Petra, the rose-red city which is one of the seven wonders of the world. Jordan is full of ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts.
The Global Series is a program that offers international students and domestic students with a study-abroad experience an opportunity to share their culture, beliefs and traditions with the campus community.
The program features and celebrates distinct cultures represented on campus. Learn about the different homes of our international students and the experiences of our domestic students in new countries. Join us as we learn and celebrate the diversity in our students.
This semester we are partnering with the Arab Student Association to bring an Arabic experience beyond what is seen in the media. We are launching the series with the country of Jordan.
This event is open to all students, staff and faculty as well as the Fayetteville community. We encourage attendees to invite their families and friends.
