Holcombe and Futrall’s FIRST ALL-HALL, Music, Munchies, and Mingle was last week! Our residents got to make Spotify Album Covers while listening to some good tunes! It was so great to get both halls joined together for our FIRST big event!

Our first Global Series, USA Day, was this month! Two of our residents visited the Pennsylvania presentation and learned about the traditional “Wedding Cookie Bar” and even got to enjoy some homemade cookies!

Futrall 1st Floor RA Tessa had her first program- “Just Dance it Out!” Our residents competed in a Just Dance Battle and snacked in the Futrall Movie Room!

2nd Floor RA Matilda had her first program as well, “Popsicles with a Professor!” She invited the Dogwood Faculty in Residence Dr. Shirin Saeidi to meet with her residents and share some coloring and popsicles!

September in a Nutshell

The beginning of October marks the first FULL month of classes! It’s hard to believe that Midterms and Fall Break are just around the corner!

For our campus, this month started off strong with Arkansas Football win’s over Cincinnati, South Carolina, and Missouri State! Our students also tackled their first College Test Week, while making time for Family and Friends during Family Weekend!

Our hall was buzzing with events, kicking off our Global Series Program with USA Day and Battle of the Jolloff, RA’s throwing their first floor programs, and our bigger All-Hall and Dogwood Neighborhood Programs!

The Dogwood Neighborhood was brought together this past Monday for a Neighborhood Mario Kart Tournament, hosted in the Holcombe Basement!

Global Series is a program unique to Holcombe Hall that provides a platform for international students and study abroad alumni to share their experiences in a different culture! This year’s theme is a journey through Africa! The next Global Series is “East Africa Rising,” and will be held on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11th at 6PM!
