Spooky Season is among us and Honeycomb knows how to celebrate it! The Adohi and Pomfret resident assistants have really pushed into the Halloween festivities. Changing leaves fill our sidewalks, jackets have made their ways out of the closet, and all of the events seem to have pumpkins! The Honeycomb staff and residents don’t seem to have a problem celebrating this season through all of our events. The first Halloween related event was thrown by our Adohi Faculty-in-Residence, Brian Holland. He handed out pumpkins of all sizes, nick-nacks, and candy to residents in both dorms. Brian did an awesome job starting out the Halloween festivities in Honeycomb, but the celebrations didn’t stop there!
Monster Mash
Mocktails and some good music made this event such a fun experience. This event was a neighborhood event, so Adohi and Pomfret RAs collaborated to create a fun night for residents. A dance floor was made in the Adohi Cabin with lights, balloons, and smoke machines to create a spooky setup. Staff created two mocktails, Witches Brew and Vampire’s Blood, for attendees to enjoy while dancing.
Pomfret Halloween Social
The Halloween Social was a fun way for residents to come together, enjoy some fun snacks, and find out who won the Halloweek Door Decorating Contest! Residents were provided decor and supplies to make their doors festive prior to this event by the Pomfret RAs. The winner of the competition had a door that was beautifully decorated in the most spooky way possible!
Sweet Treats + Pumpkin Painting
Residents were invited to join the Adohi RAs for a crafty night in the Adohi Cabin. Adohi RAs set up paint stations and provided pumpkins for residents to decorate their dorms and get into the Halloween spirit. Snacks and drinks were provided alongside some good music! At this event Residents definitely showed their scary good skills and got to enjoy a fun treat while doing so!
