Thanksgiving Break is fast approaching! Here are some things to note as you make plans for next week.

Residence Hall Services

Residence halls will remain open during this period.

Residence hall front desks and university offices will remain open between Monday and Wednesday, Nov. 25-27, but will close on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28-29.  

Desk Services/Package Pick-up

  • Monday, Nov. 25 to Wednesday, Nov. 27 – No desk services after 4 p.m.
    • Packages can be picked up from 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    • There will be no extended package pick-up hours.
  • Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving) to Saturday, Nov. 30– No desk services.
  • Sunday, Dec. 1 – Desk services resume at noon.
  • Monday, Dec. 2 – Package pick-up resumes. The hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Prepare Your Room

If you are leaving for the break, complete the following steps:

  • Lock doors and windows
  • Leave your blinds down and open
  • Turn your heater control to 68 degrees
  • Turn off your lights and alarm clocks
  • Unplug hair dryers, irons, curling irons, coffee makers, computers, TVs and other appliances.
    • Your refrigerator may stay plugged in during the break.
  • Take all medications with you
  • Remove trash from your room and properly dispose of it
  • Do not leave your belongings on the floor
  • Secure your bike in a proper location or take it home for the break period
  • Do not block any fan coils/heating unit in your room
  • Water your plants
  • Take home any approved animals if you are traveling

Dining Hours

Food service hours are limited during Thanksgiving Break between Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Sunday, Dec. 1.
