About

The Purpose of This Site

UARKHome was created to give students, families, and campus partners a clear place to learn about the university’s long-term housing plans. As our campus grows, so does the need for transparent information about new residence halls, off-campus options, parking and transit adjustments, and other housing-related initiatives. This site brings those updates together in one location.

Why Housing is Expanding

The University of Arkansas continues to see strong enrollment and a continued preference among students to live on campus. Research shows that students who live in university housing—particularly in their first year—are more likely to feel connected, supported, and academically confident. To meet this demand, the university is planning new residence halls and strengthening housing options for both first-year and returning students.

What You Can Expect to Find Here

Our Approach

Housing growth is a coordinated effort involving campus planners, architects, transit and parking services, student affairs, and partners across the university. The goal is to expand capacity while maintaining a welcoming, student-centered experience. This includes focusing on accessibility, community spaces, safety, and environmental stewardship in all new construction.
