University Housing worked with the Volunteer Action Center to conduct a Freshman Service Project from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 18.
It was a chance for new students living in the residence halls to make a positive impact on area non-profit agencies. It also allowed students to connect with one another soon after arriving on campus.
GivePulse was used to track the results of the Freshman Service Project. As of Aug. 23,107 students logged a total of 330 service hours.
The projects were distributed per hall.
