In August, students received personal Health Kit provided for free by the university to help curb the spread of COVID-19 among the campus community.
Coming in a university–sponsored drawstring bag, these kits include five disposable masks, two cloth masks (red and black), a hand sanitizer and a thermometer.
Some residence halls tasked their resident assistants with delivering the bags to each of the students. Other residence halls kept a large box at the front desk where the students can come and pick up their kit.
Kits were distributed to on-campus students through the residence halls. Off-campus students also had a chance to pick up the kits at various locations across campus.
University Housing stresses that wearing a face cover, limiting group sizes, practicing social distance, and washing your hands regularly are critical to keeping infections down across campus.
