Join us later this month to celebrate the career of Florence Johnson as assistant vice-chancellor for University Housing.

Known to most as “Flo,” she is retiring from her role leading University Housing after 32 years with the office.

The reception will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Adohi Hall, 187 South Stadium Drive, in the community building known as “The Cabin.”

Please RSVP by Monday, June 20.

Johnson started with University Housing in May 1990 as a work study undergraduate at Carlson Terrace. She held formative roles in marketing and conferences and residence education before leading the Housing Office starting in 2004.

Takama Statton-Brooks will assume the role of interim vice chancellor for University Housing. Statton-Brooks previously served as the director of residence education which oversees community life for more than 6,000 residential students.

More to come as we get closer to this reception.
