Interior of the Building
The teams working inside of Adohi are making great progress on the punch list and follow up on warranty needs. This week they anticipate a lesser presence inside the residential portion of the building. In B building, there are some warranty repair in a couple showers and the completion of work on the first floor. You will notice the maker space areas are starting to come together as the construction nears completion and our construction team is finalizing work with vendors to get components onsite and installed.
Shhhh…Creative Community Soft Opening
The Creative space is in its final stage of development. Residents are invited to participate in a soft opening, September 5 from 2pm-5pm. Come and see the equipment in action and meet some of the staff who will be working in the space. After the soft opening we will have the hours of operation posted and ready for guests. Get thinking and prepare to start using!
Trash Chutes: The installers are scheduled to be here this week and we anticipate the trash chutes being in action by the end of the week. Keeping it green, there will be recycling containers inside the trash rooms for your use as well. Some tips to be aware of once the trash rooms are fully operational.
- The trash chutes will be attached to a trash compactor. Please be careful not to drop keys, phones or other treasures in hand when disposing of trash.
- All trash should be properly bagged and tied off placed in chutes.
- All recycling will go in the green container with a yellow lid.
- To ensure that the recycling collected is not contaminated, rinse out bottles, cans, and other containers being recycled.
Exterior of the Building
Things are shaping up. Weather permitting, landscapers will continue with rock structure, pavers, topsoil and begin installation of plantings. The exterior work is dependent on weather so the progress has been slower than anticipated. Look to see concrete completed this week at the water feature on the East side of the building facing Stadium Drive. The parking lot subgrade and utility relocate should also be completed early this week. Gravel subgrade and asphalt will follow.
Anticipate seeing a smaller construction presence in the buildings as we continue to complete our projects so you’ll have one of the greatest places on campus to live.
