University Housing staff have contacted all affected residents by phone to answer questions and address concerns about Monday’s flooding on the east wing of Adohi Hall’s Building B.

The flooding was caused by damage to a water sprinkler head on the 5th floor.

Dehumidifiers were placed throughout the six-story building. These machines draw water out of carpets and remove moisture.

In certain areas, ceiling tiles, carpet and drywall must be removed to ensure moisture does not remain in the building.

Internet and network access were restored to the building on Tuesday.

Housing staff are still assessing damage in the affected area and will communicate a strategy to students in those rooms by Friday.

Students with questions are asked to email housing@uark.edu. If there is a specific maintenance task in the room, students may use the FIX IT form.
