Get an edge on academics by attending the Study Like a Hog Resource Fair.

This lecture and study fair will be held from 1-3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 7 in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge.

The event begins with a brief talk by University of Arkansas professors Lynn Jacobs and Jeremy Hyman, the authors of “The Secrets of College Success.”

You’ll learn lesser-known tips on how to become a successful student.

For example, did you know that you should take one page of notes for every 15 minutes of lecture and that there is a such thing as college-level reading?

Afterward, browse booths representing academic resources on campus. One of the booths will help you discover your learning style – kinetic, auditory or visual.

Oh, the things you will hear and the things you will see!

Want an “A” for participation? Track which booths you visit on your “report card” and be entered to win more prizes, like a pair of PowerBeats by Dr. Dre.

Booths include a make-and-take trail mix bar and will be open from 1:30-3 p.m. for your browsing pleasure.
