This month in the Maples has been so much fun! Read all about the events we hosted and what events are to come in October!

Mockingbird

wide event

On September 13th, the entirety of the Mockingbird Neighborhood hosted an event called ‘Mockingbird Pups & Ice Cream Cups.’ All of the Coordinators of Resident Education provided different types of dairy and dairy-free in cream for the community.

They all have dogs that live with them in their specific building, and they brought them for residents to pet and interact with. This event in the Maple Courtyard caused so many happy smiles!

Maple Hill SOuth All-Hall

On the 21st night of September, Maple Hill South hosted an event called ‘Earth, Friends, and Fire.’ It was groovy night filled with dancing, music, and non-alcoholic mocktails.

The program also included additional information on how to get involved on campus. Different programs, organizations, and groups to join on campus.

Maple Hill East All-Hall

On September 27th, Maple Hill East hosted an event called ‘Goats, Boba, & Yoga’ in the Maples Courtyard. We had a local company come with two goats where students signed a waiver to get to pet and feed the goats in a petting zoo style. Residents also got a chance to pick from multiple boba flavors.

We also partnered with University Recreation (UREC) to provide thirty yoga mats and bring a trained Yoga Instructor to lead the yoga class. The whole program was a hit!

Maple Hill West All-Hall

On September 28th, Maple Hill West hosted an event called ‘Back to School Bash.’ The RAs had a bunch of quick grab and go snacks that reminded them of an elementary school field day.

They had activities in the Maple Courtyard like cornhole, hula hooping, kan jam, etc. for residents to stop and play with their friends.
