University Housing is excited to partner with the rest of campus during the university’s first day of giving Tuesday for “All In for Arkansas.”

The University Housing Family Scholarship provides money to purchase textbooks for a dependent child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a current staff member who has been employed at least 3 consecutive years. This eligibility for a dependent also applies to former Housing staff members with 20 or more years of service with Housing.

“Our goal is that the Housing Family Scholarship will be endowed. That takes $25,000,” said executive director Flo Johnson. “Money will be distributed before that point, but an endowed scholarship will create an ongoing impact for staff.”

An endowed scholarship draws upon the scholarship’s interest for funding so the endowed amount never diminishes.

All in for Arkansas is a fun and fast-paced online event that runs for 1,871 minutes in honor of the university’s founding year. The university’s goal is to raise $100k in a day. This virtual party starts Tuesday and unites Arkansas alumni and friends across the country with faculty and staff right here on campus.

Staff Helping Staff

Did you know if every full-time Housing staff member committed to giving less than the cost of a movie ticker per month, we could raise about half the required $25,000 endowment in a single year?

We can make this scholarship a reality in two years.

Tuesday also kicks off the 6th annual Red, White & True faculty and staff-giving campaign.

When you go “All In” by making a gift of any size, it automatically counts for Red, White & True.

As always, it’s all about participation, and you get to choose what area you want to impact. We hope you’ll choose to give to University Housing’s new annual scholarship and make education more accessible for staff members’ families.
