What a year! Here are some reminders and tips for having a successful move-out experience.

Prepare for Departure

Please select a departure slot for move-out. Those slots are available now on the Housing Portal.

Dump Your Trash

The trash chutes and trash rooms will be locked at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 5. Dumpsters will be located outside of your residence hall. Please take all trash and unwanted carpets to these exterior dumpsters.

Last Call for Packages

Mail delivery to the residence halls will end on Tuesday, May 9. Please keep this date in mind as you make any online purchases.

Leave Green

Leave Green donation boxes will be in your hall lobby or lounge for any usable items that you do not wish to take home with you. These items will be donated to Potters House and Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Donate Your Food

The Jane Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry will also have donation boxes in your hall lobby where you can donate any unopened, nonperishable food items you do not wish to take home.

Update Your Info

Please remember to update your forwarding mailing address in UAConnect. This will assist our staff in forwarding your mail after hall closing.

Check Your Box

Please be sure to check your mailbox before you complete your check-out from your room at the end of the semester. We want to ensure that you take your mail and package deliveries home with you.

Don’t Forget Your Bike

If you have your bike on campus, please remember to remove it from the bike rack before you depart campus at the end of the semester. If you are not currently using your bike, you may want to take it home prior to finals and hall closing.

No Painting Please

Students are prohibited from painting or retouching damaged paint in their rooms. When Housing assesses damage during move-out, we understand that normal wear and tear happens. Don’t try to fix it yourself.

We wish you much success with wrapping up your spring coursework.

Please reach out to your resident assistant or your coordinator for residence education with any questions that you have regarding hall closing.
