Come learn about different cultures and try new foods at Night Market, a celebration of countries represented at the University of Arkansas.

At the event, people from 15 countries will host booths and offer foods customary to their homelands. Students will be able to learn about their international peers’ cultures and try food from their native countries.

Individual booths will also have table displays that contain information about the 15 countries.

India, Egypt and the Bahamas are among the countries represented at Night Market.

Night Market will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at the Hawkins Family Terrace, which is located at the Agriculture, Family, Life Science Building (AFLS).

Night Market will feature live music. The International Culture Team Band will play during the event.

The event is free, and all students are invited.

Night Market began in 2009 and has become an award-winning program. Night Market won both the Residents’ Interhall Congress Program of the Year award and the Southwest Association of College and University Housing Officers Institutional Diversity award twice.
