Pomfret Hall got a major facelift and is almost ready to show off its new look for the Fall 2019 semester.

Renovations will be completed in August, just in time for its residents to call Pomfret Hall their new home.

One of the largest renovations is the complete remodel of the Pomfret Hall dining area. It has a new open floor plan that allows food preparation to be done in front of guests. The dining hall will serve residents 7 days a week until 8 p.m.

There is also a Green Table within the dining area which is an allergy free zone to accommodate for any residents who might have food sensitivities.

If residents miss the dining hours, there is a new late-night BBQ restaurant that offers meal trades until 10 p.m. This restaurant will feature in-house smoked meats and homemade side dishes.

Other major renovations include, a revamped Great Room, new lighting and floors throughout the building and a complete remodel of the C- and D-wing living spaces.

Pomfret Hall now offers several student study areas with printer access, a glass music room with a new piano, an entertainment lounge that houses an 85-inch TV and a brand new relocated student kitchen. There is also a new mail room for students with new package delivery boxes.

As far as outside improvements, residents can now go outside and enjoy the weather thanks to new patio steps outside of the residence hall.

The courtyard between C- and D-wings has also been renovated and includes new seating areas and a meandering path.

The Pomfret Hall staff is so excited for the upcoming semester and can’t wait to meet all of the new residents!
